harumph

so i told sisko (that is, my sister) about said blog and her response was:

I like your blog very much.
But I do not think you are a very serious blogger.

to which i say, harumph. i am trying to be a serious blogger but sometimes there is No Time... thankyouverymuch. the weekend was so busy that i feel it was no weekend at all, and now at work i am training two new people. the problem with training people is that you actually have to work. all day. because they are learning from you. and we wouldn't want them to learn Sloth and Work Avoidance now, would we? no indeed. so i sent them off to have a nice long lunch while i do a bit of 'work' of my own.

irregardless.

hah! do you hate that as much as i do??

  • so does your sister read your blog? meaning that you are harumphing in her face? (hee hee) would she be okay with that?

my question is of how one can determine the seriousness of a blog when the blog is but 7 days old. a newborn blog. and is it serious as in seriousness of posts, or serious as in devoted quotidian posting?

i like your blog design, by the way. it is light, and bright, and communicates directness and clarity and perhaps even import.

i think your blog is serious. its posts are much more serious than are mine, as i post about tattoos and mallomars and poo and ugly feet. also i have not yet encountered anyone who posts as often as i do. it's not that i'm a serious blogger; it's that i'm craaaaazy. but we've already determined that.

    irregardless,

i don't hate it as one might think i would. rather, it makes me chuckle, because my dad used to say it. it's one of those dad-flaws over which my brother and i laugh fondly. we've thought about telling him it's not a word, but he's never taken well to receiving correction from his own children. i think he found out somehow, though, because now he says "nevertheless," which doesn't mean quite the same thing but it's good enough.

now my comment is longer than your post and that is almost as ridiculous as i am.

  • Yes I am ok with that

  • Also I have to confess I made a: Mistake.

As in, when I said you were not a Serious Blogger, I was thinking you hadn't Blogged since about a month. Not realizing that the dates in question were, you know, like, in the same month as the one in which we are now (March, for the prepositionally impaired).

But I do think that other girl is More Serious, because she is posting to her blog like every day, even if it is about tattoos and mallomars and poo and ugly feet or whatever have you.
